Many files are compressed in a self extracting format. These files have a .exe extension on the file name. Download and save the .exe file to an appropriate folder on your computer. Find the file with Windows Explorer and execute it (double click on it). It will expand into a file of the same name without the .exe extension. You can now open the expanded file in Word, WordPad, NotePad or similar program.
